NAVFAC Atlantic awarded firm-fixed-price task order for $12,278,673 under a previously awarded global contingency construction contract for emergency runway repairs at Camp Baledogle, Somalia to URS Group Inc., Morrisville, North Carolina.

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic awarded firm-fixed-price task order for $12,278,673 under a previously awarded multiple award global contingency construction contract for emergency runway repairs at Camp Baledogle, Somalia to URS Group Inc., Morrisville, North Carolina.

The work to be performed provides for repairs to runway consisting of full depth patching and overlay to allow required airfield operations. Work will be performed in Baledogle, Somalia, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 2019. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $12,278,673 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One proposal was received for this task order.

NAVFAC Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N62470-13-D-6022).
