Two Sailors gave thanks to their country by reenlisting together at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Nov. 21. Master Chief Aviation Ordnanceman Victor Almodovar is attached to Training Support Center Hampton Roads, Fleet Liaison Supervisor/Director of Training Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO), NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex; and his wife, Chief Hospital Corpsman Juana Ascencio, NMCP, Pharmacy LCPO. "We wanted to do something different," said Almodovar. "And we were both up for reenlistment." Their two young sons, Victor and Aaron attended the ceremony along with Ascencio’s Parents: Mr. & Mrs. Victor Ascencio and several shipmates. Almodovar has served in the Navy for 29 years and Ascencio for 18 years. They consider themselves a true "Navy family."
