TSC Holds Frocking Ceremony

Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes held a frocking ceremony Nov. 29. Fourteen staff and students advanced to the rank of first class petty officer.

Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes held a frocking ceremony Nov. 29. Fourteen staff and students advanced to the rank of first class petty officer.

The frocking ceremony, where Sailors receive the right to wear the uniform and assume the responsibilities of their next rank, is a Navy tradition that precedes actual advancement.

Advancing as petty officers were Machinist’s Mate 1st Class Latrese Bradley, Electrician's Mate 1st Class Jerry Borrero, Jr., Cryptologic Technician Collection 1st Class Timothy Bouma, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Shane Freeman, Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanical 1st Class Courtney Haugabook, Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical 1st Class Edward Keating, Machinist’s Mate 1st Class Sean Montgomery, Electrician's Mate 1st Class Tyler Morris, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Dillon Nelson, Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanical 1st Class Ruenna Sales, Fire Controlman 1st Class Timothy Teeples, Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical 1st Class Mikali Thomas, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Jessica Trotter and Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanical 1st Class Anas Uddin.

"One of the great pleasures I have as Commanding Officer is advancing outstanding Sailors to the next paygrade," said TSC Great Lakes Commanding Officer Capt. Edward Heflin. "These advancements are a testament to the hard work and dedication these Sailors display on a daily basis.  Congratulations goes out to them on accomplishing this significant milestone in their career."
