Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit (CSCSU) Great Lakes held a frocking ceremony for 14 Sailors who advanced to the next pay grade, Nov. 28.

Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit (CSCSU) Great Lakes held a frocking ceremony for 14 Sailors who advanced to the next pay grade, Nov. 28.

The frocking ceremony, where Sailors receive the right to wear the uniform and assume the responsibilities of their next rank, is a Navy tradition that precedes actual advancement.

Advancing as petty officers were Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Anthony Bledsoe, Gunner’s Mate 1st Class Yeison Bobadilla, Electronics Technician 1st Class Anthony Coon, Electronics Technician 1st Class Joseph Coyle, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Ryan Dayhoff, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Travis Holleman, Operations Specialist 1st Class Jordan Monroe, Gunner’s Mate Joseph Quartararo, Fire Controlman Aegis 2nd Class Jacqueline Rainville, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Sabina Statz, Fire Controlman 1st Class Timothy Teeples, Operations Specialist 1st Class Michael Tinoco, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Derek Wade and Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical 1st Class Douglas Walling.
