CNATT Commanding Officer Capt. Eric Simon presided over the ceremony attended by staff members, students, family and friends.
During his remarks before turning over command, Ryan thanked the CNATT Det. Whiting Field team for their support during his tour as officer in charge.
“The opportunity to lead such a great team has been truly remarkable,” Ryan said. “Each and every one of the officers and Sailors on the CNATT Det. Ryan is next scheduled to report to Navy Manpower Analysis Center (NAVMAC) in Millington, Tennessee, as the aviation manpower requirements department head.
Bornino, who previously served as the CNATT deputy technical support director, addressed the CNATT Det. Whiting Field staff and students for the first time as officer in charge during the ceremony.
“It's an honor and a privilege to serve as the (officer in charge) of CNATT Detachment Whiting Field,” he said. “Cmdr. Ryan and the detachment have an exemplary track record. I look forward to upholding the Navy’s high standards of excellence in the coming year as demonstrated by Cmdr. Ryan and his team.”
