Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) had thirteen personnel take top Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Excellence 3rd and 4th Quarter Awards for 2014 in three different team categories.

Further building upon NSWC PCD's three foundational elements of technical rigor, stakeholder partnerships, and accountability, these 13 NSWC PCD employees collaborated to earn these team awards in three different areas.

"Warfare Center collaboration and excellence are going to be more closely linked in the coming years. This Innovation Cell is a great example of the creative collaboration that is possible when great minds across the WFC Divisions come together to address a problem," said NSWC PCD Technical Director Ed Stewart (SES).

NSWC PCD employees and their teams include: Jeannie Russell, Warfare Center Enterprise Data Warehouse and Nyal Jennings, Mine Hunting Unmanned Surface Vessel Team.

The largest group of employees on a team who earned the award are associated with the Warfare Center Multi-Platform Mission Package Innovation Cell, or iCell team, include: Christopher Doyle; Gregory A. Garcia; Ivan Pereira; Jesse I. Angle; Dr. Kerry Commander; Matthew R. Chastain; Matthew S. Naughton; Nathan A. Mauntler; Rhonda W. Hoeckley; Sharon Frost and Steve G. Hunt.

There were 53 third and fourth quarter individual and team nominations for 2014, of which 12 were individual category nominations and 41 were team nominations. Seven individuals and 23 teams total were selected.

Recipients were recognized at the NAVSEA Excellence Awards Ceremony May 1 in the Humphreys auditorium located at the Washington Navy Yard.
