Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit (CSCSU) Great Lakes held a frocking ceremony for Sailors being advanced to 1st class petty officers May 30.
Advancing as petty officers were Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Petty Officer Robert Barnes, Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Petty Officer Claudia Carpio, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Parker Currie, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Seth Doublin, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Petty Officer Sharon McAlister, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Petty Officer Justin McDaniel, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Petty Officer Ian McHargue, Gunners Mate 1st Class Spenser Nelson, Fire Controlman 1st Class Matthew Soto, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Joshua Southern, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Ronald Staffelli, Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Petty Officer Courtney Trzinski, Fire Controlman Aegis 1st Class Michael Weatherby, Fire Controlman 1st Class Kirk Williams and Sonar Technician Surface 1st Class Kara Wood.
"I would like to personally congratulate all of our advancing personnel on their accomplishment," said Cmdr. Ricardo Enriquez, commanding officer of CSCSU Great Lakes. "It takes time, preparation, experience, studying and hard work to advance in rate. Today's announcement is an example of the hard work and dedication CSCSU Great Lakes Sailors show on a regular basis."
