Navy emphasized the importance of its longstanding relationships with the sea service affinity groups (SSAG) the Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO), the National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) and the Sea Services Leadership Association (SSLA) in NAVADMIN 165/19, released July 19.

These affinity groups provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities through events that include regional and national conferences and symposiums.

Navy leadership encourages maximum participation and attendance at the SSAG national events. Limited registration funding for these events is available from PERS-4 by emailing pers-443.fct@navy.mil.

Upcoming SSAG national conference dates and locations include:

National Naval Officers Association National Symposium: Aug. 7-8, 2019, San Diego.

Sea Service Leadership Association’s Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium: Aug. 22-23, 2019, Washington, D.C.

Association of Naval Services Officers Annual Symposium: date and location to be determined.
