Fourteen Surface Warfare Officer School Unit (SWOSU) Great Lakes first class petty officers were selected for promotion to chief petty officer according to a Navy message release July 31.
"I am extremely proud of our SWOSU CPO Selects,” said SWOSU Great Lakes Commanding Officer Cmdr. Terrance Patterson. “An outstanding accomplishment and major milestone indeed for our Sailors and their families. Our CPO Mess leadership produced a superb training program for this season, so we can get our new Chief Petty Officer leadership ready for the immediate challenges that lay before them. Charged in leading training for our future Surface Warriors, so our young Sailors can excel in challenging at-sea environments, and maintain material readiness in support of sustained combat operations around the globe.”
