The fiscal year (FY) 2018 Full Time Support (FTS) Aviation Department Head Retention Bonus (ADHRB) was released in NAVADMIN 168/18, July 13.

The FY 2018 program mirrors the previous FTS ADHRB program and is designed to retain those officers with the talent and command experience in primary warfighting missions that are critical for the future of the Navy.

The program continues the bonus system of previous years that is tied directly to force structure and targets initial eligible aviators.

Aviators who are approaching their first opportunity to leave FTS aviation are offered a bonus of $5,000 per year to $28,000 per year for a three-year contract to remain through 15 years of commissioned service.

The FTS ADHRB rates for FY 2018 are:

HM - Pilot $15,000/YR ($45,000 total)
HSC - Pilot $15,000/YR ($45,000 total)
HSM - Pilot $15,000/YR ($45,000 total)
HT - Pilot $5,000/YR ($15,000 total)
VAQ - Pilot/NFO $18,000/YR ($54,000 total)
VFA/C - Pilot/NFO $28,000/YR ($84,000 total)
VP - Pilot/NFO $15,000/YR ($45,000 total)
VR - Pilot $28,000/YR ($84,000 total)
VT(JET) - Pilot/NFO $15,000/YR ($45,000 total)
VT(PROP) - Pilot/NFO $10,000/YR ($30,000 total)
