Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded a $1.65 million firm-fixed price contract to Sunbuild Pty Ltd. of Winnellie, Northern Territory today for construction of an aircraft maintenance support facility and supporting infrastructure at the Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin.

The work to be performed provides for construction of an Aircraft Maintenance Support Facility (AMSF) and supporting infrastructure, to include site improvements, utility work and pavement. The AMSF will be an approximately 550 square meter single story steel rigid frame structure with roof and wall panels, supported on conventional shallow concrete foundations.

Work will be performed in Darwin, Northern Territory of Australia and is expected to be completed by October 2019. The contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website with three proposals received.
