Full Per Diem for Long Term Temporary Duty Announced

Navy announced the immediate termination of the reduced flat rate per diem for long-term temporary duty Sept. 4, in NAVADMIN 217/18.

The previous reduction to 75 or 55 percent of the locality rate was terminated as of Aug. 13 with the signing of the Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law. Navy personnel on travel over 30 days will now receive full per diem rates as authorized within their travel orders.

The requirement for travelers to have receipts for all lodging payments remains in effect.
