Aviation Support Division (ASD) Jacksonville was awarded its seventh consecutive Ashore Navy Supply Blue "E" Award for Logistics Excellence Aug. 27, in a ceremony at NAS Jacksonville, Florida.

Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Eleven (CPRW-11), Capt. Craig Mattingly, presented the award to ASD Jacksonville and NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) personnel and congratulated them for their outstanding accomplishments.

"This was the result of an exceptional team effort," said Mattingly. "Each of you should be extremely proud of your efforts to realize this success.”

The Blue "E" is awarded to supply departments that demonstrate excellent quality and efficiency, as judged by a comprehensive, multiple-day Supply Management Inspection (SMI) receiving an overall grade of Outstanding. Additionally, NAVSUP FLCJ Jacksonville and ASD continually met monthly standards of excellence within the goals set by Commander, Naval Air Forces.  ASD Jacksonville maintained cumulative scores above established goals. This is the seventh time ASD Jacksonville has been recognized with the Blue “E” for Supply Excellence.

ASD Jacksonville provides supply support for a variety of Type, Model, Series aircrafts to include the P-3C, P-8A, MH-60R and C-130T assigned to the Naval Air Station. Team ASD sourced more than 73,000 aviation requirements annually and managed over 1,900 line items of aviation repairable components in support of assigned squadrons. They tracked more than 6,900 Weapons Replaceable Assemblies and Shop Replaceable Assemblies annually through the maintenance repair cycle. The FLCJ Warehouse and Inventory management team provides warehouse support, inventory management and inventory accuracy, as well as receipt and delivery management for over 8,900 consumable materials. 

“A tremendous team accomplishment,” said Cmdr. Bob Kovack, Site Director/Supply Officer for FLCJ Site NAS Jacksonville. “ASD and FLCJ are constantly working together to identify requirements and provide support to improve flight line readiness.”

NAVSUP FLC Jacksonville, one of eight fleet logistics centers under Navy Supply Systems Command, provides operational logistics, business and support services to fleet, shore and industrial commands of the Navy, Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and other joint and allied forces.
