Naval Hospital Jacksonville physician named pediatrician of the year

The American Academy of Pediatrics' Uniformed Services Chapter West announced Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Love, a Naval Hospital Jacksonville pediatrician, as its 2018 Pediatrician of the Year on Nov. 4, during its 2018 AAP National Conference and Exhibition.

The annual award is given to an early-career uniformed pediatrician from each service (Army, Navy, Air Force), and from each chapter of the Uniformed Services section of AAP (East and West).

More than 11,000 pediatricians and healthcare professionals attended the four-day event in Orlando.

Love received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
