Navy Increases Nuclear Limited Duty Officer Incentive Pay

The Navy announced an increase in career annual incentive pay (AIP) for select nuclear limited duty officers (LDO) in NAVADMIN 317/18, Dec. 27. Beginning Oct. 1, 2019, eligible lieutenant commander and commander nuclear LDOs will receive $20,000 in AIP.

The Navy announced an increase in career annual incentive pay (AIP) for select nuclear limited duty officers (LDO) in NAVADMIN 317/18, Dec. 27.

Beginning Oct. 1, 2019, eligible lieutenant commander and commander nuclear LDOs will receive $20,000 in AIP.  All other eligible nuclear LDOs and chief warrant officers will continue to receive $10,000 in AIP.

Officers eligible for the increased AIP pay will receive the first increased payment Oct. 1, 2020, for service in the previous fiscal year.  The increase in nuclear LDO AIP is designed to retain nuclear LDOs beyond 10 years of commissioned service, when they become eligible for retirement.
