TSC Names 4th Quarter Top Sailors, 3rd Quarter Top Civilians

Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes awarded 1st Quarter Instructors of the Quarter and Sailors of the Quarter, and 4th Quarter Civilians of the Quarter, during a ceremony, Feb. 22.
Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes awarded 1st Quarter Instructors of the Quarter and Sailors of the Quarter, and 4th Quarter Civilians of the Quarter, during a ceremony, Feb. 22.

TSC Command Master Chief Randy Reid said the boards were highly competitive for the Navy military training instructors (NMTI), reflecting the high quality and commitment to excellence demonstrated at the command.

"These Sailors are selected from a highly competitive group that represents the best the Navy has to offer," Reid said. "With such high caliber staff, TSC will continue to send high quality Sailors to the fleet."

The civilian of the quarter selection board reviewed submissions from a large number of very qualified candidates.

"Our civilian teammates we recognized today are an invaluable asset to the mission here at TSC," said Cmdr. Kevin Halfacre, executive officer of TSC. "They truly epitomize the teamwork mentality needed between our civilian and military members."

First Quarter selections include:

Senior Instructor of the Quarter
NMTI Chief Damage Controlman Kevin Christopher

Mid-Grade Instructor of the Quarter
NMTI Fire Controlman 1st Class Casey Blake

Junior Instructor of the Quarter
NMTI Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Christopher Jimenez

Sailor of the Quarter
NMTI Hull Maintenance Technician 1st Class Christina Hamilton

Junior Sailor of the Quarter
NMTI Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Ashley Jardine
