The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) arrived in Guam for a scheduled port visit, March 14, after the conclusion of MultiSail 18.

"We had the great opportunity to participate in MultiSail with our JMSDF (Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force) partners and every year our team gets better," said Cmdr. William Smith, Mustin's commanding officer. "After five days at sea the crew is ready for some rest and relaxation in beautiful Guam, our home away from home."

Mustin Sailors are able to enjoy a range of experiences while in Guam to include visiting historic sites and cultural attractions, enjoying watersports, and taking part in command sponsored community service projects.

"Guam has its own unique culture and lifestyle," said Operations Specialist 3rd Class Jessica Jaral. "The beaches are so gorgeous and I plan on trying out the beautiful water."

Mustin is in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific.
