NAVSUP Commander and Chief of the Navy Supply Corps Rear Adm. Jonathan A. Yuen visited NAVSUP FLC Norfolk March 27-29.

During his visit Yuen met with the command's senior leadership and visited several areas including RRAM, the presentation silver vault, the Navy Food Management Team, ATAC, the fuel operations at Oceana, the new NAVFAC stores operation at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek/Fort Story and others.

Yuen also held an all hands town meeting with personnel in Norfolk, congratulating the command on accomplishments over the last year, including a successful IG inspection, support for the fleet during last year's hurricanes and the Contracting Department completing more than 11 thousand actions obligating $2 billion in FY-17.

"You are the face to the fleet," Yuen said to the assembled crowed packed Robert Jack Room. "You know your customers and your customers know the services they can expect from you."

During the all hands he discussed the Secretary of Defense's three lines of effort; lethality, partnerships and reform. He also spoke of how NAVSUP FLC Norfolk ensures mission success and how the command provides readiness.

Yuen finished the all hands meeting by opening the floor to a Q and A session, fielding questions on postal operations in light of the recent explosives mailed to military installations, acquisition reform and the possibility of increasing training for Supply Corps officers and enlisted Sailors.
