Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Bahrain coordinated in-port replenishment with Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) ship Fort Rosalie to deliver logistics support to U.S. Naval Ships within the 5th fleet area of operations (AOR) in March.

The civilian-manned RFA Fort Rosalie is a United Kingdom (UK) combat auxiliary ship, currently supporting combat logistics support to naval ships.

"NAVSUP FLC Bahrain supported in-port replenishment events for the RFA Fort Rosalie to demonstrate naval logistics integration. The integration of in-port replenishments and replenishment at sea capabilities using the UK ship significantly enhanced combat logistics capabilities in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility", said Theodore Pacleb, operations officer, NAVSUP FLC Bahrain.

NAVSUP FLC Bahrain also coordinated with RFA Fort Rosalie to complete in port replenishments for the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) Carrier Strike Group, USS Bunker Hill (CG-52), USS Monterey (CG-61), and other smaller platforms.

To fulfill Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group's logistics requirements, NAVSUP FLC Bahrain loaded the RFA Fort Rosalie with supplies for further transfer to the carrier. Support included 48 tri-walls of mail, 59 pallets of general cargo, and 300 pallets of provisions.

NAVSUP FLC Bahrain provides full spectrum operational logistics support and quality-of-life programs to Navy, joint and coalition warfighters, DoD civilians, and their families in the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) AOR. NAVSUP FLC Bahrain is located on board NSA Bahrain, which is situated in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is home to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and U.S. 5th Fleet.

NAVSUP FLC Bahrain is one of eleven commands under Commander, NAVSUP. Headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and employing a diverse, worldwide workforce of more than 22,500 military and civilian personnel, NAVSUP's mission is to provide supplies, services, and quality-of-life support to the Navy and joint warfighter.
