The NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Department passed its Procurement Performance Management Assessment Program (PPMAP) review, which wrapped up March 15.
The NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Department passed its Procurement Performance Management Assessment Program (PPMAP) review, which wrapped up March 15.

According to Contracting Department Deputy Director Jordan Dorsey, the PPMAP review is very similar to the IG inspection the command passed last year.

"It is the exercise of the NAVSUP Head of Contracting Activity (HCA) making sure that the authority they delegate us is being executed effectively and efficiently within statutory, regulatory and agency guidelines," he added.
Dorsey credited the Code 200 team and the legal office for doing an exceptional job during the review, receiving a satisfactory, which is the highest possible grade. In addition, they were cited for eight noteworthy accomplishments in the performance of their duties.
"The low number of findings in our PPMAP is particularly impressive given the scope of NAVSUP FLC Norfolk's operation and the needs of our high visibility customers," Dorsey said. "This speaks to the exceptional people we have working in Code 200 at all levels of the organization, from the technical directors to the brand new interns. "

Dorsey cited the efforts of Rocco Siravo and Pete Parrott for their work in the policy and intern development programs respectively.

"Those programs are second to none," he added. "The training prepares our folks to always execute at the highest level, which makes preparing for the audit much easier than it otherwise would be."

He concluded by saying he was very proud of the efforts of the team, not only in their excellent performance during the PPMAP but how they perform their duties each and every day. Code 200 is comprised of more than 240 employees across six sites, during fiscal year 2017 they executed more than 11 thousand actions and obligated over $2 billion in FY17.
