Incoming Sea Warrior Program (PMW 240, PEO EIS) Program Manager Claire Evans relieved Acting Program Manager and Technical Director Ken Johnson during a Change of Charge ceremony on April 2 in Arlington, Virginia.

"I am looking forward to leading the Sea Warrior Program and working to modernize and improve the defense business systems our Sailors rely on every day," Evans said.

Before taking the role of program manager of the Sea Warrior Program, Evans served as the program manager for the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems Program Management Office.

"This is an exciting time for PMW 240 as we continue to roll out My Navy Portal and develop mobile applications that put critical information and training tools literally in the hands of our Sailors," Evans said.

Johnson, who has been with the Sea Warrior Program since 2007, will continue in his primary role of chief engineer and technical director as PMW 240 continues to grow and modernize the Navy's IT systems.

"The Sea Warrior Program is instrumental to how the Navy is transforming its Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education mission. From 'hire to retire' the Sailors ability to manage their career life events, in an intuitive to the Sailor fashion, via their own mobile device is in the works." Johnson said. "The acquisition experts in PMW 240 are leaning forward to meet the National Defense Strategy of speed to capability. I'm proud to be one of them."

In addition to a new program manager, Sea Warrior Program has a new deputy program manager. Julianne LeFevre who recently served as the chief of staff for the Navy Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), became the deputy program manager in early March.

PMW 240 manages a complex portfolio of information technology systems that provide full life cycle management to support the Navy's manpower, personnel, training and education (MPTE) business operations initiatives.
