Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Yokosuka Site Atsugi was awarded the Blue "E" Ashore Supply Excellence Award for the seventh year in a row.

The Blue "E" Award is given to commands that provide exceptional supply management support. This year's award is a joint award with Aviation Supply Det. (ASD) Atsugi primarily for stock control, quality assurance and transportation warehousing.

NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka Commanding Officer Capt. Jeffery Davis stopped by Site Atsugi, June 6, to personally thank and congratulate the team.

"It is a tremendous privilege to celebrate the success of the combined ASD and [FLC Yokosuka] Site Atsugi team. Achieving seven consecutive Blue 'E' awards is an incredible feat, but it is just as impressive to know that this team has achieved the highest score on record for any shore activity," said Davis. "It truly is a sign of sustained excellence. Their combined efforts are having a profound impact on warfighter readiness in this demanding deployed environment."

NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka Site Atsugi Site Director Lt.j.g. Timothy Tan praised the exceptional caliber of his team.

"I am very proud of the team," Tan said. "This seventh consecutive recognition and the achievement serves to validate their dedication, work ethic and strong team work."

The Blue "E" is awarded to commands for outstanding supply aviation support that meets standards of excellence in supply management inspections, monthly type commander pulse points and supply department training programs. A team award reflects strong support from leadership and supporting departments. Only support detachments that excel in quality and efficiency receive the prestigious annual award.
