NAVFAC Southwest Awards $11.6 Million for Naval Medical Center San Diego

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest awarded an $11.6 million contract Oct. 1 for custodial services at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest awarded an $11.6 million contract Oct. 1 for custodial services at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

"Award of this contract provides continuous necessary custodial services to ensure effective medical service for veterans, retired, and active duty military members which include wounded warriors coming home from overseas duty, and their families, " said Bradley Crawford, NAVFAC Southwest contract specialist. "Navy medical facilities must meet the most stringent infection control requirements in order to ensure the best possible service that can be provided."

Job Options Inc. (AbilityOne) of San Diego was awarded the contract and is scheduled to provide labor, supervision, management, equipment, material, tools and other items necessary to provide custodial services at Naval Medical Center San Diego and surrounding medical and dental clinics.

The contract is expected to be completed by September 2018. NAVFAC Southwest is the contracting activity.
