The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) arrived for a scheduled port visit in Trondheim, Norway, July 4, to enhance U.S.-Norway relations as the two nations work toward a stable and secure Europe.

The ship's presence in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations is a demonstration of our continued commitment to the collective security and NATO under Operation Atlantic Resolve.

While in Trondheim, Cmdr. Bryan Gallo, commanding officer, and Cmdr. David Coles, executive officer, will be visiting with the city mayor and deputy chief of police.
