Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes awarded its 3rd quarter selections of Instructors of the Quarter and Sailors of the Quarter and 2nd quarter selections of Civilians of the Quarter during a ceremony, Aug. 16.

TSC Command Master Chief Randy Reid said the boards were highly competitive for the Navy military training instructors (NMTI), reflecting the high quality and commitment to excellence demonstrated at the command.

"Recognizing these Sailors is a great opportunity for the command to highlight those service members whose achievement both at work and off duty sets them apart," Reid said. "This quarter we had outstanding candidates recommended by their respective departments and the nominees' service records were screened, recommendations were considered, and interviews were conducted. These five Sailors and two civilians really stood out among a field of outstanding candidates."

The civilian of the quarter selection board reviewed submissions from a large number of very qualified candidates.

"Civilian employees represent more than 40 percent of our workforce at TSC," said Cmdr. Kevin Halfacre, executive officer at TSC. "I am proud to acknowledge the expert performances of our civilian team and their invaluable contributions to the success of the command."
