The annual Academy Women Officer Women Leadership Symposium (OWLS) will be held April 26-27 at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.

Held annually, OWLS includes educational and professional development workshops, seminars and exhibits designed to enhance the professional knowledge of attendees while increasing overall awareness of issues affecting women in the military.

The symposium offers an invaluable opportunity for female officers, midshipmen and senior enlisted women to benefit from the open dialogue, career enhancing information, and mentoring opportunities.

While all service members are eligible, ideal candidates for the symposium include outstanding officers, midshipmen and senior enlisted who are at a career decision point.

All 36 available Navy-funded registrations will be coordinated through the Talent Development Team at Navy Personnel Command (NPC). To obtain a conference registration reservation, contact Lt. Dan Frisch at (901) 874-3996 or email Dan.Frisch@Navy.mil.

The total number of attendees will be limited. Travel for non-local attendees will be funded through individual commands. NPC will fund a limited number of registration fees. Approval to use command funds for travel and Navy funds for registration is pending.

Commands outside the 30 approved travelers will not be authorized to expend command funds, including, transportation, lodging, meals and incidental expenses.
