Navy Expeditionary Combat Command named its Senior Sailor of the Quarter during a presentation held on the command's quarterdeck April 29.

Construction Mechanic 1st Class Kevin Lowers, from Brooklyn, New York, was selected due to his outstanding performance as the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Table of Allowance (TOA) manager at NECC.

During the previous quarter, Lowers analyzed and identified TOA material solutions to ensure a higher level of combat effectiveness for the Navy. He helped develop the Material Readiness Assessment program, increasing efficiency in force material readiness.

"Being selected as NECC's [Senior] Sailor of the Quarter is an honor that demonstrates our enduring Navy tradition of recognition for a job well done," said Lowers. "I am not only thankful for this award, but also grateful for the family-like atmosphere in which it was presented. My accomplishment would not be possible without the compassion and support of my N43 department family, other NECC Staff, and my homefront."

Lowers said he appreciates that the Navy provides many opportunities for personal and team success.

"This award represents that spirit of equal opportunity for individual accomplishment at the highest levels of our organization," said Lowers. "It is my hope that this success will continue to improve the future of our Navy expeditionary forces for years to come."

NECC is an enduring warfighting force providing sea-to-shore and inland operating environment capabilities across the full range of military operations that is focused on delivering combat effective expeditionary forces ready for worldwide operations now and into the future.
