Due to a Department of Defense mandated systemwide outage, all computer-based systems will be unavailable, preventing the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune's pharmacies from operating at full capacity from 7 p.m., March 4, until 8 a.m., March 7.

The pharmacy located in the Marine Corps Exchange will be closed Saturday, March 5. The main hospital pharmacy will be closed Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6.

While the pharmacy will be unable to process any new prescriptions, the hospital will be able to process same day written prescriptions from urgent care or emergency room providers.

Patients are urged to take a look at current medication supplies.

If patients need a prescription refill during this time, they are encouraged to process refills one to two days earlier than normal in order to ensure staff can make the medication available. During this outage, the pharmacy staff will not have any access to prescription histories and will be unable to process any refills or existing prescriptions in the system.

"We are always striving to improve for the benefit of our patients," said Lt. Cmdr. Katherine Jaudon, head of the pharmacy department. "We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding and support during this mandated down time."
