A senior chief assigned to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Colorado received the Team Buckley Senior Enlisted Annual Award for 2015 during a ceremony at The Summit in Aurora, Feb. 26.

Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician (Collections) (IDW/SW) Brandi Williams was selected for the award from more than 500 senior enlisted service members from every command at Buckley Air Force Base.

"I feel honored to receive this award among all the outstanding nominated candidates," said Williams. "The Sailors, airmen, soldiers and Marines I work with everyday are the ones who truly deserve this award. Their hard work and sacrifice keep our nation and warfighters safe on a daily basis."

The annual event, which recognizes the top performers at Buckley Air Force Base, included 10 individual awards and one team excellence award.

The awards are given based on leadership, job performance, significant self-improvement, and base and community involvement.

Williams' superior performance, leadership, and professionalism separated her from the rest of the nominees and resulted in her selection.

"Senior Chief Williams serves as the senior enlisted leader for one of the site's most demanding and fastest growing work centers," said Lt. Cmdr. Chuck Hall, executive officer of NIOC Colorado. "She also serves as the department leading chief petty officer for the command's largest department."

U.S. Fleet Cyber Command serves as the Navy component command to U.S. Strategic Command and U.S. Cyber Command, and the Navy's Service Cryptologic Component commander under the National Security Agency/Central Security Service. Fleet Cyber Command also reports directly to the Chief of Naval Operations as an echelon II command.

U.S. 10th Fleet is the operational arm of Fleet Cyber Command and executes its mission through a task force structure.
