The 2015 Professional Development and Training Conference will be held July 28-30 at the Admiral Kidd Center on Point Loma Naval Base in San Diego.
The annual conference is hosted by the National Naval Officers Association (NNOA). This year's conference theme is "NNOA, Many Backgrounds...One Mission!"

NNOA's mission is to enhance sea service operational readiness by providing professional development, mentoring and recruiting support in an effort to achieve a diverse officer corps that reflects the demographics of the Nation.

Navy-funded participation has been approved for the conference. All Navy-funded registrations will be coordinated through the Navy Office of Diversity and Inclusion (OPNAV N134), and will require participation in pre and post-event surveys. While all officers are eligible, ideal candidates for the conference include outstanding officers who are at a career decision point.

One travel request is permitted for each of the 30 type commands and system commands. Travel will be funded through individual commands; however, OPNAV N134 will provide the registrations. Officers must first seek approval from OPNAV N134 if they wish to travel. Travel shall not exceed $1500 per person. Commands outside of the 30 approved travelers shall not fund registrations, and are not authorized to fund lodging, transportation, meals and incidental expenses.

Lunch will be provided throughout the conference for those in attendance. Non-provided meals must be purchased by the attendee. The uniform will be summer whites for Navy personnel.
