Sailors from Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) 1B, assigned to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, provided maritime security during Exercise Bull Shark, Nov. 26, 2024. Bull Shark, a biannual joint training, combines the expertise of U.S., Djiboutian, Spanish and French maritime forces to increase crisis response and personnel recovery skills. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where they are needed to ensure security and protect U.S. interests. JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR HICKAM, Hawaii

Petersen Jr., assigned to Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group as integrated air and missile defense warfare commander, was underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy's timeless roles of sea control and power projection.
