What is NPAC?

Navy Public Affairs Command (NPAC) provides strategic oversight for the Navy's public affairs expeditionary force, serving as the Echelon II Commander under the Navy’s Chief of Information (CHINFO). NPAC is responsible for generating and maintaining the mission readiness of its subordinate Fleet Public Affairs Centers, the Navy's deployable communication force.

NPAC's core function is to man, train, and equip these expeditionary commands. This ensures they can provide operationally ready Public Affairs Officers (PAOs) and Mass Communication Specialists (MCs) for worldwide deployment. By developing advanced training and managing modern equipment, NPAC guarantees a professional and globally postured force. This integrated structure empowers our forward-deployed personnel to articulate the Navy's mission, deter adversaries, and secure the strategic narrative in any contested information environment.
