What is NPAC?

Naval Public Affairs Command (NPAC) units, broken into centers and detachments, are responsible for providing public affairs support to current and emerging public affairs (PA) and visual information (VI) engagements. NPAC personnel, comprised of public affairs officers (PAOs) and Mass Communication Specialists (MCs) assist with PA and VI operations, media relations, and community relations during deployments, exercises, and other operations. NPAC personnels play a crucial role in sharing the Navy’s story and ensuring accurate and effective communication with the American public and international audiences.
