Welcome to the Navy's official trademark and licensing Website. This website assists you in answering your trademark and licensing questions, provides information about the Navy’s trademark and licensing program and is your gateway to becoming an official licensee.

Permission must be obtained by anyone who wishes to use the Navy's trademarks. Licensing protects the Navy's name, heritage, reputation and image by permitting only appropriate uses and assuring that only quality products that enhance the reputation and public goodwill of the Navy are licensed.

We look forward to receiving your application.

A MESSAGE TO OUR LICENSEES AND COMMUNITY

The impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak have been difficult and widespread across the globe. The Navy's Trademark Licensing office is making decisions in order to ensure the safety of our staff and our licensees. Even though we are working remotely, we continue to serve our community and licensees during this difficult time and our staff is working normal business hours to service all of your licensing needs.

We will not be reviewing applications or product packages by mail at this time. We will accept all submissions electronically. If you have already mailed us a package for review, please resubmit this electronically to ensure your submission is not delayed. If you are submitting a licensing application, please include your application, supporting documents, and graphics of the products you would like licensed to: Navylicensing.fct@navy.mil.

When submitting graphics for products, please include images or photos and the following information:

  • The country the product is produced
  • The materials used to produce the product by country.
  • High resolution photographs from different angles to show the full product sample.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we all adjust to the current challenges. If you need to reach us, feel free to contact us at (703) 696-4002 or (703) 696-6676.
